Note: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of characters who will split off from the main group to begin their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death started the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to Timmony in search of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

According to episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Seekers and Planners parties.
