It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the peak baggers, are the only things left for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's challenging for their hitters to possess a record if never given the opportunity.

In the end, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting a platform to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Initially recognized as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her country couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups held the previous year and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 World Cup win arrived three months after her debut and seven international trophies have followed from 10 efforts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India momentarily interrupted the successful run.

That loss "motivated us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy stated recently.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the title decider and was named player of the tournament. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

If this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort is debatable.

Certain people claim the argument supporting final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this century was considerably tougher to see coming.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and after that the batsman was underway.

"A chance to play and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

By the time she was dismissed her side needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this tournament want to hear.

During the last week a sense they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.

During that phase they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a significant event.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing through the pain.

But while she afterwards confessed those injuries have pushed back thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is likely to be her concluding event as leader in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as skipper.

Triumph in India would lead her to the peak of her ultimate challenge.
